Molokhia is deep green colored leaves and looks like shiso leaves. Because this leafy vegetable is packed with vitamins and minerals, it is widely known as an ingredient for dietary supplements. Thanks to its exceptionally high nutritious value, Molokhia is called the “King of the Green Vegetables” or the “Mighty Vegetable.”
Raw molokhia has a bitter taste, but try not to cook it too long as it will lose the nutritions. Oil will help you increase the vitamin A, E and K intake from the vegetable. We highly recommend Molokhia tempura and/or stir-fry!
