*** We use only the minimum necessary pesticides at our farm. As a result, you may see more insect bites on the vegetables during this season. But don’t worry—there’s no issue with taste or quality. In fact, they’re so delicious that even bugs can’t resist! ***
Mizuna is also called “Kyona” because it has been grown in the Kyoto area for centuries. It is one of the traditional Kyoto vegetables. Mizuna grows up to between 30 and 40 cm. Its leaves are zig-zagged like holly leaves. Mizuna is often used in salad to enjoy its mild flavor and crispy texture.
At Suzuki Farm, we harvest Mizuna at the right timing so they are big and supple.
